  • Solid White Line:

Whenever you are walking on the road, you must have noticed that a long white line passes through the middle of the road. Often, many people consider it the beauty of the streets. But this line also means. If there is a long white line on the roads, telling you to keep traveling on the same side from which you are traveling, do not leave your side and go to the other side.

  • Broken White Line:

We see this broken white line in the middle of the road very often, this line shows that you can change your path as per the need, just pay attention to the vehicles coming in front of you while changing the path. you have to take care of the trains coming from behind, so that no accident occurs. Only change lane if it is safe to change lanes on the road.

  • A solid yellow line:

A yellow long line means that you can overtake easily, but you cannot cross this line and go the other way. You cannot drive your vehicle by crossing that line.  Crossing this yellow line is forbidden. However, the meaning of this line varies from state to state. Although these rules vary for different states. For example, Telangana, this line means that the vehicle cannot be overtaken.

  • Two solid yellow lines:

The difference between these two yellow lines is very small. Often, people are hastily driving over or above that line, but doing so is wrong. This kind of line means that you walk in your lane. Passing on these lines is forbidden. These lines, like a white line, divide the road not into two lanes but one lane in two.

  • Broken Yellow Line:

This means that you can move ahead of others by increasing your speed, but during this time take full care of your safety and those of your back and forth so that no one gets hurt. This line shows us that, if you are having trouble to drive the vehicle from the roadside, then you can take your vehicle ahead. this line you can pass but with caution. These lines can be crossed if one has to change sides and be safe in one lane.

  • Broken Yellow Line with Solid Yellow Line:

It consists of two lines, with one line long and the other broken. This means that if someone is on the long line, he cannot bother to overtake the car ahead of him. On the other hand, if someone is on the broken line, then he can carefully overtake any vehicle.
