What is calculator?types of calculator.....

The calculator has become an important part of all of our lives today. The calculator has made our calculation process extremely easy. The calculator has made calculations extremely easy. With the calculator, not only students today solve big numerical easily, but also shopkeepers and domestic women can easily calculate and calculate the transactions related to it.

Considering the usefulness of calculator, nowadays it is also available in smart phones and computers. And new addition in a smart waths too. Where earlier it used to take a lot of time to do big calculations and adding and subtracting numbers was difficult.

Now, with the help of a calculator, it is done in a pinch, but do you know how this calculating machine i.e. the calculator started and who invented it?

What is a calculator?

The calculator is a small-sized portable electronic device used for adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing numbers, or for any economical operation.

Due to this, even the most difficult calculations can be done very easily in seconds. At the same time, computer is used for big calculations, but where computer use is not possible, small calculations are done with the help of calculator at any place and any time.

At the same time calculator has made it very easy to solve math calculations and many questions, so people use the calculator a lot in their daily work and in a mathematical problem solving time.

At the same time calculators are also available in smart phones and computers. Apart from this, there are many digital calculators available in the market, some of which run by cell, battery and some solar calculators which are charged with sunlight.

A calculator is a machine or tool that has made complex calculations very easy in today's era. But the current calculator we use was first used in 1980. Smartphone’s were introduced as calculators in the 1990s. The first year in 1642, Blaise Pascal invented the "True Calculator”. With the help of which attempts were made to perform arithmetic calculations. Which were previously considered impossible? After this, in the 17th century, mechanical calculators were seen in the shape of typewriters. Their existence ended with the introduction of their portable and electronic calculators.

Today, different calculators are available for different offices. Which present various power sources, designs and functions?

Types of Calculator

·         IBM 608 (FIRSTALL -TRANSISTORCALCULATOR: 1954)

·         ANITA MK -8 (1961: FIRSTALL -ELECTRONIC DESKTOP CALCULATOR)

·         Cal Tech (1967: FIRST HANDHELD Calculator)

·         Busicom LE-120A “HANDY”

          (1971: TRULY POCKET-SIZED ELECTRONIC Calculator)

·         HP-65 (1974: FIRST HANDHELD PROGRAMMABLE Calculator)

·         Casio fx-7000G (1985: FIRST GRAPHING Calculator)

·         Sharp EL-9650 (2003: FIRST GRAPHING Calculator With Touch Functionality)

·         Casio PRIZM (2010:FIRST COLOR GRAPHING Calculator)

In this way modern calculators were used after many inventions, which has made calculating extremely easy. At the same time, it not only saves tax time in the toughest calculation a few seconds, but also gives accurate results. Now in the time of examination use of calculator allowed by university or government boards.

However, we should not use it excessively and should not use it for easy calculations because doing so becomes such a habit of using calculator and then there is again a lot of difficulty in doing small calculations.

Types of Calculators

1.    1.  Basic Calculators

Today, basic or portable calculators are used in almost every office and home. It is used in general math calculations such as: Add, Subtraction, Multiplication, Divide, Logarithm and exponentiation.

  • Typically, such calculators have 8-12 digits display and keys are used to give input. They run on both battery and solar energy. Batteries are used when there is no light and solar energy (solar energy) is used when there is light.

2. Scientific Calculators

Scientific or scientific calculators are specially designed to solve problems of science, engineering and mathematics; in addition they are also included in trigonometric and statistical calculations.

But they are widely used for calculations on very small or large numbers for chemistry, physics and astronomy. The display of these calculators is also similar to the basic calculator but it contains 10 to 12 digits with additional digits for floating point arithmetic.

3. Printing Calculators

These calculators were used when there were no personal computers in homes. These are a type of basic calculator which prints any result on a paper on LCD. Currently, these calculators are available on both desktop and portable device. They are mostly used by accountants and shopkeepers to print bill receipts, calculate benefits and calculate time for payroll.

4. Online Calculators

In today's era, many types of calculators can be easily accessed on the Internet. They are mostly used in special tasks only. To take an example - BMI (Body Mass Index) calculators measure body index by weight and height. In the same way, a pregnant calculator is used to find out the fixed age of a pregnant woman. Another calculator is a calorie calculator, which helps people in how many calories should be consumed daily to gain or lose weight.

 5. Graphic Calculators

Graphic calculators are used with high resolution LCD screens and the hardest graphics and CPU for faster calculations. Any user can write and store a program on his own to complete a big process. These calculators are mostly used in offices where higher level calculations are done. Graphic calculators come with features like matrix function, pen-touch operation, slide show function, graph change, equation addition, reversible keyboard, etc.
