Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam
On October 15, 1931, A. A. in the house of a fisherman in Dhunshkodi
village of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu . P.J. Abdul
Kalam was born. His full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He
was the youngest child of jainulabiddin and Ashiamma.
Abdul Kalam's father used to take care of his family by
renting a boat to fishermen. Abdul Kalam ji had three elder brothers and 1
sister. Abdul Kalam ji had to struggle a lot from the beginning as the
house's financial condition was not good.
But he never bothered with these difficulties but kept moving
forward with true determination and honesty and later he achieved immense
successes in his life.

Being born in a very poor house, APJ Abdul Kalam had to face
a lot of troubles for his studies too. They used to pay their school fees
with whatever money they earned by selling newspapers. Abdul Kalam ji
completed his early education from Ramanathapuram Schwartz Matriculation School.
After this APJ Abdul Kalam, in the year 1950, he completed
his graduation in Physics from St. Joseph's College, Tiruchirapalli. He
then did a diploma in aeronautical engineering from the Madras Institute of
Technology (MIT) from 1954 to 1957.
In this way he continued his studies under difficult
conditions, and later the highest post of the country was elevated to the post
of President and made APJ Abdul Kalam’s mark as India's most famous scientist.

APJ Abdul Kalam, a man of amazing talent, started his career
as a scientist in the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO)
after completing his studies. Always wanting to do something new and big, APJ
Abdul Kalam left his influence on the people by designing a small helicopter at
the beginning of his scientific career.
At the same time, after working for a few days, he was also a
member of the Indian Committee for Space Research. Then in the year 1962
he joined important organization of India- Indian Space Research Organization
(ISRO). Then from 1962 to 1982, he was associated with this research and
held many important positions. After this Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was
appointed as the Director of Satellite Launch Vehicle Project in India.
APJ Abdul Kalam, while holding the post of project director
here, built his first indigenous satellite launch vehicle SLV-3 in India, which
was set up near the Earth's orbit in the year 1980. After this success of
Kalam ji, he was made a member of the International Space Club of India.

indigenous guided missile and made missiles like Agni and Prithvi using Indian
technology and not only made significant contribution in the field of science

Subsequently, from 1992 to December 1999, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
worked as the Defense Advisor to the Defense Minister of India. At the
same time, Atal Vajpayee Ji had a government at the center. And for the
second time at the same time under the supervision of APJ Abdul Kalam ji,
nuclear tests were conducted successfully in Pokhran, Rajasthan and with this
India became a nuclear weapon maker, nuclear power and prosperous countries.
APJ Abdul Kalam, who served as the Chief Scientific Advisor
to the Government of India, gave Vision 2020 for the development and progress
in the field of science in India. In 1982, Dr. Apees Abdul Kalam ji was
made the Director (DRDL) of Defense Resource Development Laboratory. During
this time, he was also awarded his doctorate by Anna University.
This was the time when Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Azad along with Dr.
VS Arunachalam formulated the proposal for Integrated Guided Missile
Development Program (IGMDP). Apart from this, a committee for the
development of indigenous missiles was also formed under the chairmanship of
Azad Saheb. At the same time, the emphasis was on making a limited and
medium range missile. After this, the emphasis was on building
earth-to-air anti tank missiles and the Reintree Experiment Launch Vehicle (Rex).
In 1988, Prithvi in 1988, Trishul in 1985 and 'Agni'
missile were tested in 1988 under the leadership of visionary Kalam ji. Apart
from this, missiles named Akash, Nag were also made under the chairmanship of APJ
Abdul Kalam.
In 1998, APJ APJ Abdul Kalam along with Russia started India
to set up Brahros Private Limited to work on making supersonic cruise missile. Let
us tell you that Brahros is such a missile, which can be fired anywhere on the
sky, earth and sea. In the same year he collaborated with the heart
physician Soma Raju to develop a cheaper "coronary stent", which was
named the Kalam-Raju stent.
After the significant contribution and successes made by APJ
Abdul Kalam in the field of science, his name came to be considered among the
most famous scientists in the world and his fame as 'missile man' spread to all
the four corners of the world. At the same time, he was also honored with
several big awards for his significant contribution in the field of science.

hold the post of President of the highest post of the country, who was
conferred with the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor before taking
this post. Earlier,Dr.Zakir Hussain and Dr. Radhakrishnan had
been conferred with this honor before becoming President.

On 25 July 2015, Abdul Kalam was giving a lecture at the
Indian Institute of Management, Shillong during a function, then suddenly his
health deteriorated, after which he was immediately admitted to the hospital in
Shillong, But there was no improvement in his health and during this time he
breathed his last.
Millions of people gathered for the last visit of his favorite politician in Abdul Kalam's funeral procession. Kalam was cremated in his native village in Rameswaram. In this way, this great personality of India said goodbye to the world forever.
